I encountered very few glitches on my journey through the Canadian wilderness, and the way it plays as a "survival" game, but not like the other so-called "survival" games makes it extremely refreshing. You can tell that this game was crafted with love from Hinterland Studios. Should I go out scavenging in the blizzard, or wait it out? Should I run from or attack the wolf? Each action you do will start a chain reaction later in the game, so choose carefully. This game also teaches planning and patience. How will you survive? You could harvest saplings to make a bow to kill small game, rig up a snare to catch rabbits, or just live off of non-perishables, it's ultimately your choice. You truly feel alone, fending for yourself in the wilderness with no one to help you.

Being alone, with no other human contact, is riveting. There is minimal blood (just little blood dots to indicate where you or the animal was going) and you can collect tools (Hatchet, Hunting Knife, Rifle) That can be used to kill animals. You just have to survive until you run out of supplies and. But over time, you start to understand the game better and will be able to survive longer. Because of this, the first time you play, you will make some mistakes and end up dying quickly. There really is no help or directions for you to follow. The game starts you in a random place on the map.

The Story mode will come out later this year.)The main plot of this game is that you are Will Mackenzie, a Canadian bush pilot, who has been stranded in a post-geomagnetic disaster. (This Review is for the Alpha version of the game.
